Founder: Constance Pleasant MBA

Constance, the daughter of a veteran, is a graduate of California State University, East Bay and the University of Phoenix where she studied Biology and Business Administration. She is a native Californian with roots in the San Francisco Bay Area. Constance wears several hats as an Account Manager, Optician, and as a non-profit board member of two organizations. Her volunteer experience with comic cons and veterans organizations inspired Constance to give back to the military community by providing art education and information on art entrepreneurship.

Comic Book Instructor: Anthony Dubose-McCree

Anthony was born and raised in Oakland California. As a child, Anthony picked up a love for DC Comics and Marvel characters like Spiderman and Batman. He decided that’s what he wanted to do with his life, draw comics. He drew all the time, completing many amateur comic books on his own.

He attended Oakland High school where he joined VAAMP (Visual Arts and Academics Magnet Program). While in VAAMP, he cultivated his love for art by learning many different art styles such as metal work, painting, pen, and ink, etc. He soon joined the US Marines and served 5 years which consisted of three tours of duty in Iraq as a Rifleman. He earned the purple heart for a wound taken while in combat. Anthony retired from the Marine Corp under honorable discharge.

Anthony used his GI bill to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts and Animation. He then followed his dream to publish his first professional comic book. Anthony has three finished titles Carciness #0, and J #1 and #2. He frequently presents at different conventions. Anthony also does freelance work in sequential art and accepts many commissions.
